Excel Scholarship Program

The National Black MBA Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter proudly champions the advancement of education in our community. Each year, we’re on the search for exemplary students that demonstrate intellectual curiosity, exceptional academic ability, and authentic connection to the community. Since 2015, we have awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to DFW undergraduate and graduate students.

Excel Scholarship Competition 2025 Update:
We’re excited to announce this year’s scholarship awards, ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 for Dallas-Fort Worth high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students. Applicants must complete the online application, submit an essay (250 words or less for one of three questions), provide an official transcript, and meet the GPA requirements (2.75 for high school, 3.0 for undergraduate, 3.3 for graduate). Undergraduate and graduate applicants must be active DFW Black MBAs financial members at the time of application and award disbursement. Scholarships are available to U.S. citizens only.

Applications open May 12 and close at 5pm CT on June 13, 2025, with funds disbursed directly to the school bursar’s office.
